There is very little difference in trumpet bore sizes, usually ranging from medium-large bore .459” ~ .460” and a large bore .462” ~ .464”. This makes for a difference of only a few thousandths of an inch. Many instruments have large amounts of deposits on the inside of their horn, which may lead to red-rot and often gives the instrument a “stuffy” feel. Having your instrument “chemically cleaned” will remove all deposits of oil, grease, lime and corrosion that build up on the inside of your instrument. Having your instrument cleaned every 9 to 12 months will ensure that your instrument will last years.
All instrument cleanings include; replacement of felts, springs, water key corks, slide fitting, oiling and minor dent work. With our pro cleaning option we will also hone your valve casings for smooth valve action, use synthetic corks, install slide noise reducers and remove minor slide knuckle dents.
