We offer a variety of enhancement features to help improve your instruments playability and feel to the players own preference. We offer everything from a full line of custom patent pending hand-made mouthpipes to custom support bracing to allow your horn to resonate in a true fashion. All J. Landress mouthpipes are hand made from sheet metal and are seamed. These can be made from Copper, Yellow Brass, Rose Brass, Red Brass, Bronze, Sterling Silver and Nickel Silver.

Standard Trumpet Services:
Valve Port Adjustment: $150 ($35 each additional valve)
This is also called by some a valve alignment. The J. Landress Brass alignment brings your horn to a new level of playing. Each valve port is aligned with the casing port both vertically and horizontally. Valve ports and casing ports are cut and smoothed to ensure a proper air flow. Spring barrels are realigned fit the ports and non compressing synthetic felts are installed to guarantee that the stroke remains the same.
Round Bell Bow: $55
Most bells are bent using ice, pitch or lead. When the bell tail is bent, the tube is put slightly out of round causing the metal to be stretched and pinched, Rounding the bell bow will greatly open your horn and give the instrument a more responsive feel.
Piston Venting: $35/ valve
When you kick out our 1st or 3rd valve slide a slight vacuum is created causing a slight “pop” in the mouthpiece. This “pop” can be eliminated by venting your piston, allowing a smooth feel when using your slides.
Valve Rebuilding: $350
When valves become old and worn air will often leak from the ports causing the horn to play and sound stuffy. Each valve is built up using a heavy copper plate, then a final plate of heavy nickel. This plating will bring the valves and instrument back to life with full compression.
Valve Lapping and Honing: $35/ valve
Often small imperfections may interfere with the valves performance. We offer the highest quality lapping of piston or casing that will make your valves feel as smooth as silk. After each lapping the casing is honed to a high luster, making the valve feel extremely fluid.
Part Mounting: $125/ bell, $55/ mouthpipe
Some players may decide to have a new bell or mouthpipe installed. We ensure that all parts will be mounted without any stress in the bracing to allow an even response.
