Used 1929 Bach New York Stradivarius ML bore cornet in lacquer. This nearly century-old cornet plays with a robust, powerful sound that will keep pace with any ensemble. Valve action is very good, and response and intonation are both excellent. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and we found compression best with Yamaha Vintage oil. It was relacquered at some point, with some pitting and brass wear visible underneath as well as some small areas of lacquer loss on the receiver and in a few spots where some repairs were done. There's a small patch done here at our shop on the tube that the top leg of the main tuning slide goes into, as well as a small crack in bell along the bead that has been filled in with soft solder. There's also evidence of repairs in several other spots but nothing too severe or that affects playability. Comes with a generic hard case in excellent condition.
