2017 Besson BE928 Sovereign 180th Anniversary Bb Cornet w/ Original Case

Used 2017 Besson BE928 180th Anniversary Limited Edition Bb cornet, made in Germany and finished in frosted satin silver plate with polished silver trim and bell wash. Only 70 of these rare cornets were made to celebrate Besson’s 180th anniversary, with a distinctive finish reminiscent of the company’s 1970s and ’80s instruments. It plays with fantastic response and intonation, with a sound that blends beautifully in a section but has plenty to offer when it’s time to step out as a soloist. The valve action is fast and smooth, as are the main tuning slide and third slide triggers, which give the player excellent control over intonation. The contrasting matte and polished silver makes for an especially elegant-looking horn. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and compression is excellent with Yamaha Regular oil. It’s in virtually like-new condition, with no evidence of repairs or even any scratches. Comes with the original blue hard case and original certificate that notes it as #15 of 180 made (the company made 180 limited edition instruments, 70 were cornets).
