Used Geneva Cardinal Bb cornet in lacquer, with ornate engraving running all the way up the bell and leadpipe. This is a visually striking horn, combining yellow brass, rose brass, and nickel with black nickel-plated trim. It plays with an extremely open, free-blowing feel, but the response is remarkably quick, making even difficult brass band articulations easy to navigate. The nickel flare combines with the rose brass bell and leadpipe for a brilliant, warm sound with tons of projection and power that stays together at all dynamics, and the valve action is lightning fast. The main tuning slide trigger and third valve slide trigger give you excellent control over intonation, with a unique ergonomic main trigger paddle co-designed by Richard Marshall of the Black Dyke Band, who endorses the Cardinal. It’s a versatile cornet, with the response, projection, and control to make it equally at home in a section or out front as a solo instrument. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and it’s in virtually like-new condition with excellent compression and no evidence of repairs. Comes with a gorgeous red presentation case.
