This used Yamaha YCR-9435 C cornet takes a trumpet mouthpiece, per the design requirements of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's John Hagstrom, making it a fantastic choice for doublers. We gave it a professional cleaning, and it is in fantastic shape with no plating loss and just extremely minor scuffs. The valves are smooth and fast, and the horn produces a very full, round sound that has the brilliance required for orchestral cornet parts in pieces like Symphony Fantastique (Berlioz) or Romeo and Juliet (Prokofiev). No case.

Incorporating input from consultant John Hagstrom from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Custom cornet features french bead wire and side seams. Trumpet shanks allow for smooth exchanging from trumpet to cornet.
