Used 2010 Schilke 1040 FL Bb flugelhorn in silver plate with a rose brass bell, in very good condition. The small .406" bore gives it a very agile feel and a compact, dark sound, while the rose brass bell adds some extra warmth. Valve action is stellar, as is compression, and overall this is a very easy and responsive flugelhorn to play. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment. Apart from some light surface wear and scratches in several places, the silver plate is completely intact, with no evidence of significant repairs. It comes with one leadpipe marked ST for Schilke’s standard (large Morse) taper, though we found that it accommodates small Morse taper mouthpieces quite well. Comes with a Reunion Blues double bag in matte leather, good condition.
