Used 2020 Van Laar OIRAM Fresu flugelhorn in brushed gold plate. This gorgeous Netherlands-made flugel has a huge gold brass bell and heavy valve block, giving it a smoky, powerful sound that will give your solos an unparalleled depth and breadth. The contrast between the brushed gold plate body and bell and polished gold slides and trim is visually stunning. The Bauerfeind valves are extremely smooth and fast, making this flugel an absolute joy to play. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and apart from some evidence of a small repair to the back turn and bell flare, plus a few surface scuffs here and there, it's in great shape. Comes with a Schagerl-branded Marcus Bonna combo trumpet/flugel case, as well as #1 and 2 leadpipes. Both pipes accept a small Morse (Bach) taper mouthpiece, though we found that the #2 pipe also handles a standard taper quite well.
