This used 1959 Conn 8D double French horn had a complete rotor rebuild at some point, as well as an aftermarket bell cut and a Lawson leadpipe installed, as well as a pair of Amado waterkeys. If you're looking for the classic 50s/60s Hollywood blockbuster horn sound, this will do the trick! There's evidence of some repairs and some minor imperfections here and there, but no sign of anything severe. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision rotor alignment, and this horn plays extremely well, with fantastic action and compression. This is a wonderful vintage horn with some excellent modern accommodations! Comes with the original fixed-bell case in very good condition, as well as a cut-bell gig bag.
