Used Engelbert Schmid double French horn in lacquer with cut bell and hand rest. We gave this horn a professional cleaning and made some minor adjustments, and it's in excellent condition and ready to play in any orchestral situation! There's an aftermarket linkage on the thumb valve that can be set to let the horn rest in either Bb or F. Like all Schmid horns, the B-flat side can be lowered to A or raised to B. On the B-natural horn you can play E-horn passages as if they were in E-flat (e.g. Weber Concertino, Danzi Concerto, Fidelio, Thieving Magpie Overture, Cosi fan tutte). Built in Schmid's Mindelzell workshop. Comes with an extra medium lacquered spun flare with nickel silver garland (in fair to poor condition), as well as an Altieri horn gigbag.
The included impermeable TM case has space for straight and stop mutes, as well as two removable exterior pouches for music, two removable interior pouches, two snap-closing mouthpiece pouches that fit in the interior pouches, and a zippered pouch for accessories.
Also included: An Alexander stop mute with two bells and an RGC 12-sided wooden tunable straight mute.
