This used Hans Hoyer G10 double French horn is in good condition and has been fully cleaned and had its rotors professionally aligned. There is some minor lacquer loss near previously repaired solder joints and on some slides. The bell tail shows evidence of prior repairs, but the flare itself is in very good condition with only minor signs of repair and some slight acid bleed around the rim. There is also a small dent in the third branch, which does not affect playability. The horn plays very well despite these cosmetic issues. It has a big, open blow that holds up at high volumes without breaking up, thanks to the large Geyer wrap balanced by the fairly narrow bell throat, which also adds to the horn's versatility. Comes with Patterson Hornworks-branded Marcus Bonna case and L'Olifant 1789 Series A12 screw rim mouthpiece.
FROM HANS HOYER:
The Hans Hoyer model G10 is styled after the original instruments by Carl Geyer, who immigrated to the United States in 1903. The well balanced design is very similar to the originals of the 1950’s with rich tone colors and similar resistance. Careful attention was given to the positioning of the braces as well as on the ergonomic arrangement of the valve and thumb levers.
