Used Hans Hoyer Geyer-style double French horn in raw brass. This older model Hoyer has a medium .462" bore and an extra large bell throat, and the rotor action is excellent -- perfect for 2nd or 4th horn playing, with a very efficient blow and big, bold "German" sound. The horn is very easy to play and intonation is very good, and the thumb rotor is easily changeable to rest in either in F or Bb (currently in F).
We gave it a professional cleaning and precision rotor alignment, and there are a handful of imperfections commensurate with an older French horn that has seen some significant play time, but no pitting or signs of serious trauma. These include minor blemishes in flare evidence of small repairs to the bell stem, and some small dents in the nickel bow guard, but nothing that affects airflow/playability. Please note this is a raw brass instrument, and it has a light patina that will darken over time, though the finish is easily refreshed.
Comes with the original case in fair to good condition, with working latches.
