FROM STEVE PATRICK:

Sizes

5ZM

The 5zm uses the same rim, 28 drill, and back-bore from our 5z mouthpiece with a modified V cup similar to our M cup commercial mouthpieces.

84M FR

The 84M is the same as the 85M (Mike Haynes signature model), but with a tighter entrance to the throat to help with range, endurance and projection. It is comparable to a Bach 6 or 7 inner diameter. This mouthpiece has a medium V cup design. This mouthpiece has more resistance than the old Jet-tones providing more endurance, better projection and an easier high end. The sound is full and resonant from the very bottom of the range to the top. The back-bore is matched perfectly to the top to give you a balanced mouthpiece.

FR (Flat Rim) The FR rim profile has become widely popular on our commercial models. This profile is fairly flat with a comfortable cushion rim with a high point between the middle and inner edge to provide support so that you don't have that "falling into the cup" feeling.

84S FR

The 84S shares the same rim as the 84M and is comparable to a Bach 6 or 7 inner diameter. This mouthpiece has a shallow V cup design. This mouthpiece has more resistance than the old Jet-tones providing more endurance, better projection and an easier high end. The sound is full and resonant from the very bottom of the range to the top. The back-bore is matched perfectly to the top to give you a balanced mouthpiece.

91S FR
There would be no Bach inner diameter comparison to this mouthpiece that I know of, but if Bach made one, it would be around a Bach 14 inner diameter. This mouthpiece has a shallow V cup design. This mouthpiece has more resistance than the old Jet-tones providing more endurance, better projection and an easier high end. The sound is full and resonant from the very bottom of the range to the top. The back-bore is matched perfectly to the top to give you a balanced mouthpiece.

.The PBC has a design based off of the old Bill Chase Jet-tones of the 60's. It has a shallow V cup design. a fat, slightly rounded rim with a high point pretty close to the center of the rim. It has more resistance than the old Bill Chase Jet-tone which helps you to not "bottom out", helps projection, range, and endurance. The sound is full and resonant from the very bottom of the range to the top. The back-bore is matched up to the top to give you a balanced mouthpiece.
