This used 1961 Martin Committee (medium #2 bore) is plated in silver and is in fantastic shape for its age, with some plating loss at the hand contact points. We gave it a pro cleaning and precision valve alignment, and with a larger mouthpiece like a 1 1/2C it plays like a Committee should - warm and smoky, perfect for small group jazz. And if you plug in a small, shallow mouthpiece (we tried a Patrick FR91S), this baby can really scream! The valve action is excellent, and compression is good with a thicker oil like Berp 3. No signs of significant trauma, though there's evidence of a small repair at the bell tail, and some minimal signs of red rot in the original leadpipe that are easily mitigated by regular cleaning and care! No case.
