Oil: TrombotineThis used 1926 Conn 18H Frisco Model tenor trombone is in impressive shape for a century-old instrument and comes with its original case. We gave it a thorough professional cleaning, and while there’s visible wear on both the inner and outer slides, as well as a crack in one inner leg that extends into the tuning mechanism, it doesn’t affect playability. Compression is best with Trombotine.
The finish is matte silver with polished accents and a gold bell wash, giving the horn a striking visual contrast. There’s some plating wear at the slide contact points and light scratches and imperfections throughout, but the bell section’s plating remains in very good condition.
This small bore tenor plays with a compact, sweet sound that projects directly and cleanly — ideal for traditional jazz, Sousa marches, or collectors seeking a historically significant piece. This model uses a press-fit fitting, has no slide lock, and includes an in-slide tuning mechanism. Comes with the original case, which is in fair condition overall.
