Used 1941 Bach New York Mercedes tenor trombone with modular leadpipe in lacquer. This vintage straight tenor is in great shape for its age, with about 85% of the original dark honey-colored lacquer on the handslide and closer to 90% on the bell section. We gave the horn a professional cleaning, and there's some evidence of minor repairs to the bell flare and slide in a few spots but no plating loss on the inner slide tubes. The removable leadpipe is original to the horn and is press-fit; it's on the looser side, but it doesn't leak air. The horn plays extremely well, with excellent slide action, quick response, and an easy upper register. It comes with the original case in fair condition -- the latches work but the inside block that holds the bell section is detached from the case.
