This used 1953 Holton Stratodyne tenor trombone has the original owner's name (Marilyn Metheny) hand-engraved on the bell and slide, but the real star of the show is the very cool '50s engraving on the bell. This excellent small-bore jazz trombone plays with a warm sound that projects extremely well and can punch through an ensemble or blend well, and the slide action is very good. We gave it a professional cleaning, and about 85-90% of the original lacquer remains. There's a small patch of plating loss on one inner slide tube, and there's evidence of repairs throughout, as well as some red rot in gooseneck, but this horn has plenty of life left in it. Comes with the original case in fair condition (missing one latch).
