Used 1968 King 2B (Model 1465) valve trombone in lacquer, in excellent condition. This is a genuinely fun and agile horn to play, with a sound that can bark or sigh with very little effort. The .481" bore gives it a healthy amount of resistance that should feel comfortable for small-bore tenor players as well as trumpet players looking to double, and the valve action is fantastic. The original lacquer is in remarkably nice shape, with a surface scratch on the bell, some discoloration here and there underneath the lacquer, minor wear around the third valve casing, and a small handful of blemishes on the main tuning slide. There’s also a tiny spot of acid bleed next to the forward bell brace, but overall this 1968 King is in fantastic shape and it has the original King counterweight. This is one of the sexiest valve trombones we’ve seen in our shop—if such a thing exists! Comes with the original case (which also has room for a slide!), cleaning rod, lyre and mouthpiece (unstamped), all in excellent condition.
