1974 Bach 42G Large-Bore Tenor Trombone w/ Original Case

Used 1974 Bach 42G tenor trombone in lacquer, good condition. This vintage large-bore trombone plays with a warm, dark and resonant sound as well as outstanding projection that’s ideal for symphonic work. It has about 40% of the original lacquer left on bell section and a bit more on the nickel slide; the remnants have that goegeous dark smoky/honey color. The rotor and slide action are both excellent, and the horn has an aftermarket miniball linkage.

We gave this 42G a professional cleaning and precision rotor alignment, and it’s in great mechanical condition. Cosmetically, there are signs of some very small repairs here and there but nothing severe, and the handslide has some wear to the nickel at the contact points but no plating loss on the inner tubes. The nickel slide crook is in excellent shape. Comes with original case in very good condition with some scuffs here and there.
