Oil: Mix of Trombotine and YamahaThis 1960s Selmer Bolero is an excellent small-bore tenor trombone with characteristics similar to a King 3B. With a .508” bore, it offers an open feel without losing brilliance, making it a great choice for jazz, salsa, and other commercial settings. We gave this vintage trombone a professional cleaning and the slide action is very good using a mix of Yamaha slide lubricant and Trombotine. The bell section is in good shape, with evidence of repairs on the main tuning slide and some lacquer wear throughout (approximately 85% of lacquer remains). The slide shows lacquer wear but no plating loss on the inners. There are a few minor imperfections on the inner side of the handslide end crook, but nothing that affects playability.
Comes with the original case, which shows significant exterior wear but remains in good working condition. The latches and middle latch spring function well, and the interior is clean aside from a missing latch on the mouthpiece storage compartment.
