This used 1983 King Silver Flair Bb trumpet is in very good condition for a 40-plus-year-old horn. This model was made famous by the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Uan Rasey and Louis Prima. We gave this classic horn a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and we found valve action and compression is best with a slightly thicker oil like Hetman 3. The silver plate is in excellent shape, with just some scratches and evidence of a small repair to the leadpipe; no red rot or signs of serious trauma. It plays with a brilliant sound that projects very well and is easy to color, as well as very quick response. No case.
