An amazing example of a large bore Besson just after WWII, this 1949 Besson Meha plays as good as it looks.  Built in France just after the war before Besson used English made valves, this horn is quite similar in design to it's earlier pre-war cousins.  A big and full sound that barks in the lower register and screams in the upper.  High polished, raw brass with a fresh valve rebuild the horn shows some wear and pitting from the bands and minor evidence of dent work in the bell and a small patch on the leadpipe near the receiver. Used, no case.
