This used 1969 Bach 37 in raw brass is one of the better examples of the early Elkhart era we've seen in our shop. We cleaned it and aligned the valves, and it's in tip-top shape for its age with very little wear except for on the third valve slide near the finger ring. The valves are fast and smooth with compression well above 90% using Yamaha Vintage synthetic oil. The sound is on a par with the best Bach has to offer -- excellent brilliance but dark when you need it to be, and easy to color. It's free-blowing in a very comfortable way, with an easy upper register. Comes with the original early Elkhart Bach case in excellent shape with both latches still working great.
