This more than century-old Besson Brevete trumpet has a quick change rotor that adjusts the horn from Bb to A. We've given it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and it is in 100% original condition, including the silver plate, valves, and stunningly clear engraving. There's evidence of some minor repairs here and there, as well as a very small area on the 2nd slide knuckle where the plating has worn away, but nothing severe and no red rot. This is the 3rd oldest/earliest modern trumpet that we are aware of, the forefather of ALL modern trumpets!!! Despite significant valve wear, this horn holds decent compression with a thicker oil like Berp 3, and the valve action is very good. The horn plays with a lush and resonant sound that inspired both Vincent Bach and Elden Benge to make their own lines of trumpets -- truly a ground-breaking instrument. Used, no case.
