Alfred Aubertin made professional trumpets in Paris under his own name from 1935-1968 for the likes of Maurice Andre and Roger Delmotte. Prior to that he made valves for Besson. This model, manufactured around 1938, is in amazing condition for its age, with just a small amount of evidence of repairs around the bell rim, and some very minor pitting on the valve block. We gave it a full professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and we brought the raw brass to a high polish. It plays extemely well with excellent slotting, lively tone, and superior intonation -- this is more than just an impressive piece of trumpet history, it's a genuinely great player. The valve action is smooth and fast, with good compression using a thicker oil like Berp 3. No case.
