Used 1947 Besson Meha Bb trumpet in silver plate. This octogenarian trumpet is very freeblowing with a round sound that doesn't get edgy up high, and you can hear yourself well thanks to the French bead. The intonation is excellent and the valves have a soft and smooth feel with great compression using Yamaha Regular synthetic oil. Some notable design elements include an underslung third valve slide ring and a semi-round main tuning slide. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and overall the plating is about 95% intact with some surface scratches here and there, and the gorgeous engraving is still sharp. There's evidence of repairs here and there, particularly to the leadpipe (which also has some red rot in it), plus the bell is a bit bent, but none of this affects playability. No case.
