This 1957 Bach 37 Bb trumpet was built while the factory was in Mount Vernon, NY—arguably Bach’s most sought-after era. It’s silver plated and had a full valve rebuild recently, giving it excellent compression and valve action. We also gave it a thorough professional cleaning and precision valve alignment. The bell is in very good shape overall, and a beautiful low-profile first slide saddle was added at some point. There’s some visible wear to the silver plating in several areas, light to moderate pitting on a few of the tubes, and evidence of red rot beginning in the leadpipe (though it's minor and the pipe has many great years ahead of it). In our playtests, the horn had a vibrant sound and just the right amount of resistance, making it easy to play with very good projection and player feedback. An excellent choice for any style of music from orchestral to commercial! No case.
