Oil: Yamaha LightUsed 1963 Bach Mt. Vernon 37 Bb trumpet in raw brass. We gave this horn a full professional cleaning, as well as a complete valve rebuild and a precision alignment. There is surface wear throughout and evidence of past repairs in the bell tail, and the engraving has softened from buffing at some point, but the horn remains in very good overall shape. There is no red rot. An aftermarket thumb ring has been expertly added to the first slide.
In our playtesting, the trumpet has a warm sound that leans slightly dark but colors easily. It blends well, projects with ease, and retains the resonance and intonation characteristic of Mt. Vernon-era horns. Valve action is smooth, and compression is like new! Comes with a Bach case but from a more recent era.
