Used 1964 Burbank Benge 3X MLP Bb trumpet, replated in gold at some point. This classic Benge has some surface wear and a bit of pitting in the plating on the valve block and leadpipe, but overall the gold plate is 98% intact, with just a small amount missing from an area on the leadpipe due to hand wear. There's also a small ding in the receiver and evidence of some repairs but nothing severe and no sign of red rot. We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, and the compression and valve action are extremely good -- like a brand new horn -- indicating a recent valve job. It plays with a powerful, focused sound that projects well and holds together nicely at any dynamic, making it well-suited to jazz/commercial music but versatile enough to be an all-arounder. Comes with a Benge hard case in very good shape with working latches and springs.
