Used 1977 Benge 3X ML Bb trumpet in silver plate. The horn has been professionally cleaned and received a precision valve alignment in our shop, and the valve compression and action are both excellent. Cosmetically, it is in very good condition with no plating loss. There are a couple of minor scratches, along with evidence of a prior repair to the lower third slide tube where it enters the valve casing, but there's no red rot or other signs of serious trauma or significant repairs.
This classic Los Angeles-era Benge has a versatile sound that works well across a wide range of playing styles. Intonation is on point, and the sound has the flexibility to cover both darker and brighter tonal colors with ease. Articulation, response and tonal evenness are fantastic from top to bottom. No case.
