This used 1992 Monette Chicago STC Bb trumpet in brushed raw brass is one of the last horns Monette made in Chicago. It's heavyweight without looking like a heavyweight horn, thanks in part to the very thick-gauge bell. We cleaned it and gave the valves a precision alignment, and it's in very good shape, with just a little bit of evidence of small repairs on the crooks of the 1st and 3rd slides. It plays with tons of core and body to the sound, and it's weight gives it a stability even at
fff dynamics, though it can sigh softly and beautifully at
pp-p as well. The valve action is superb, and the intonation and slotting are fantastic both above and below high C. Comes with original Monette double case.
