Used 1999 Bach 229G C trumpet with Blackburn 19-350 leadpipe and main tuning slide in very good condition.
We gave it a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment. The gold brass bell pairs beautifully with the yellow brass components, giving the horn a distinctive look as well as tonal warmth. Condition is very good, with about 98% of the lacquer intact. There is some surface wear around the back turn, a few scratches on the bell flare, and minor acid bleed at the rim, but these are cosmetic and do not affect playability. There is no evidence of red rot or significant trauma. Valve action is extremely smooth and even, and compression is excellent.
In our playests, the horn responded with a lively sound that was very consistent across dynamics and registers. The horn responds very quickly and slots comfortably tight. It's freeblowing thanks in part to the Blackburn leadpipe and rounded main tuning slide, which is fitted with an Amado waterkey. Comes with the original Bach case.
