Taking full advantage of our beautiful new shop on 32nd street in NYC, we finally have the time to expand our line of custom brass instruments for our awesome customers! In pre-pandemic times, these horns were a hot commodity with a wait list over a year long. You could find Josh’s custom trumpets and trombones being played at such venues as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Newport Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Blue Note, Radio City Music Hall, and countless Broadway pit orchestras.
Bringing back the time honored tradition of NYC brass manufacturing and assembling, we are offering 2 base models to start.
Model 1: Inspired by classic Besson Meha designs. This trumpet has everything you want with a big and beautiful sound that is extremely resonant, responsive, and full of harmonics and overtones from pp to ff.
Model 2: Inspired by classic NYC designs with a warmer sound, more open feel, and a broader tone palate. Martin Committee and Bach Vindabona fans will love this!
Price: $ 5,800.00 in raw brass. Both will come with a Gard case as well!
These custom, one-of-a-kind, trumpets will have Josh’s prized handmade seamed leadpipe that is inspired by the famous pre-war Besson Meha, yellow brass body, bronze bell, and a .460" medium large bore. All parts of this trumpet, with exception of the Bauerfeind valve block, will be fabricated in house and hand assembled by Josh from start to finish.
