This used RS Berkeley TP-612S Bb trumpet in silver plate is in great shape and plays very well. The plating is fully intact, with only a tiny imperfection around the first valve slide saddle, which was re-soldered at some point. Valve action is fast and smooth, and compression is good with Yamaha Regular oil. There’s evidence of prior repairs to the bell flare and first valve slide, but nothing that affects playability. Otherwise, the horn shows just minor surface wear and scratches throughout. It plays with a free-blowing feel (it's a large bore trumpet), and the sound leans a bit to the darker side with a Bach 3C, though it can easily brighten with a shallower mouthpiece. This would make an excellent choice for students or professionals looking for an affordable “beater” horn for parades, outdoor gigs, or other situations where you might not want to bring your vintage or valuable main horn.
