This used Shires CMW model Bb trumpet occupies a very special spot in our store because it was owned by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea (yes, he's a good trumpet player as well as a fabulous funkster on bass)! We purchased it directly from Flea himself and it comes with a letter of authenticity. We cleaned it and aligned the valves, and it's in great playing shape despite lots of surface scratching on the leadpipe, back turn, and bell flare -- no red rot or signs of significant trauma. The sound is bright and fat, definitely at home in commercial settings, and the fast response and secure slots will delight players looking for a reliable instrument that will cut through any ensemble without sounding shrill. Comes with the original Shires case made by Marcus Bonna.
