Designed for British trumpet star Mike Lovatt, this Bb trumpet is extremely versatile and performs flawlessly in all musical situations, whether live or in studio. It combines many of the best aspects of Bach and Yamaha trumpets, with an even sound and intonation all the way up and down the horn, as well as excellent projection, slotting and liveliness. It features an interchangeable leadpipe system, with the Mike Lovatt (ML) model included as standard -- additional leadpipes for different playing situations sold separately. Comes with a very slick-looking fitted backpack case.

Mike Lovatt has played with the top ten British Symphony Orchestras, London Brass, SuperBrass, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Big Band, Royal Ballet and Opera Orchestras. In 2013 Mike was awarded the degree Hon. RAM by the Royal Academy of Music and the position of Derek Watkins Chair of Trumpet. He is also Professor of Trumpet at the Royal College of Music. Mike is a design consultant for Smith-Watkins Trumpets, Cornets and Flugel Horns. Since 1994, he has played exclusively on Smith-Watkins Instruments made for him by Richard Smith.
