Used Taylor London 2 Custom Bb trumpet in brushed lacquer with polished/lacquered body in excellent condition. This is a gorgeous example of Andy Taylor's work, and in his own words, "That was a one of a kind. A sort of Custom re-issue. It's a ML .459 bore with red brass bell. What makes that one special is the Chicago style bracing on it and the fact that it is lacquered. Most were not." We gave it a professional cleaning and a precision valve alignment, and it's in fantastic shape with 99.5% of the original lacquer remaining intact and no signs of red rot or significant repairs. The valve action is superb, and compression is very good with a standard oil like Yamaha Synthetic Regular. In our playtests, the horn had a lush, warm sound suited to ballads and soloists, and the ML bore gave the horn a comfortable, easy feel. The heavy construction and big bell keeps the sound from having a lot of edge unless you really push it; plugging in a lead mouthpiece lifts the lush veil enough to cut through any ensemble. In either case, this trumpet handles extreme dynamics quite well. Comes with original contoured hard case in excellent condition.
