Oil: Yamaha RegularUsed Van Laar B3 in lacquer, very good condition. This model is a hybrid consisting of the OIRAM-like 5.3-inch bell and a standard weight body and trim like the B-series. It also has aftermarket Saturn waterkeys on the third and main tuning slides. We gave this older vintage Van Laar a professional cleaning and precision valve alignment, as well as some minor dentwork. It has a beautiful honey-colored lacquer and a huge warm sound that brightens easily when pushed. No case.

One could say that the B3 trumpet possesses the best of both worlds: somewhere between the OIRAM and the more commercial models.
In the high register the B3 has a natural, bright sound and it is easy to attain a good projection and sizzle when playing loudly without losing the expressive and exciting sound in the middle and low registers, not to forget the brilliant sound when playing softly.
