Used Van Laar B4 Bb trumpet in silver plate, excellent condition. This is Van Laar's best-selling Bb trumpet, based on a Mount Vernon Bach 37. It's very versatile and plays extremely in tune with top-notch valve action. We cleaned it and gave it a precision valve alignment, and the silver plate is 100% intact. The valve action and compression are like new. The .461" bore feels free-blowing but with plenty of control -- this would be a stellar, versatile choice for any genre of music. The B4 was developed on the basis of the Bach Mount Vernon trumpet. Fundamental to the rich sound is a standard bell with a normal-weight valve cluster. Unlike the original instrument, the B4 is distinguished by its improved slotting and lighter intonation. This is a reliable all-rounder for all kinds of music-making.
