SHIPPING

GENERAL
We ship all items via UPS, and all instruments are sent fully insured and signature required—no exceptions. Orders that ship outside of NY state are exempt from sales tax. Please allow for up to 3 business days for us to process your order before it ships. You will receive tracking via the email address we have on file as soon as the item is labelled and ready to ship, and the estimated delivery date will be calculated once UPS receives the package.

Large items like tubas need to be shipped via freight, please call us for shipping costs.

INTERNATIONAL SALES
We ship anywhere that isn’t currently prohibited by U.S. government restrictions. All international sales are final. The buyer is responsible for any and all tariffs on items imported into their country; unfortunately we are unable to calculate this, as tariffs are assessed and collected by the receiving country’s customs office. If a customer returns/refuses a shipment due to tariffs, the tariff amount will be deducted from the refund. We do not falsify item values on customs forms for any reason.

RETURNS
The buyer is responsible for return shipping – please see our Returns & Exchanges page for important info about returns and associated fees. If we ship an item for free and the item is returned, the buyer is also responsible for the initial shipping charge. We make exceptions for defective items and mis-shipped orders.

TRIALS
If we ship an instrument for a 7-day trial, the buyer is responsible for initial shipping if purchasing the instrument by the end of the trial, and for shipping both ways if the instrument is returned. Our trial period for instruments begins upon receipt of the instrument and lasts for seven (7) calendar days. We do not offer trials to international customers..

REPAIRS
The instrument owner is responsible for shipping both ways for instrument repairs.

TARIFFS ON IMPORTS TO THE USA
Any item that is manufactured outside the USA and imported to the USA may be subject to additional costs due to tariffs. The tariff landscape is volatile and unpredictable, and as a result imported items are subject to customs fees assessed by U.S. Customs and billed to us within up to a week after we receive an item. We will contact the customer for payment of customs fees as soon as we receive the bill. Please call or email us at sales@jlandressbrass.com before ordering if you have questions or concerns.
